Over the past 30 years, Mr. Miller has been involved in the real estate development industry both; as an attorney focusing on resorts, hospitality and leisure properties and as a business executive and entrepreneur deal-structuring, financing, developing and operating investment grade properties.

Early in his career after gaining international finance and banking experience in Miami and completion of law school he quickly gained valuable transactional law firm experience and then served as General Counsel for National Development Corporation, the owner and developer of PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. (PGAresort.com). In 1984 he became President and Chief Executive Officer of First Partners Investment Corporation responsible for the acquisition, financing, development, asset management, turn-around restructure and brokerage of investment-grade multi-line resort development and commercial real estate including developing Gardens Plaza, a 200,000 sq. ft. commercial office complex; the first “smart building” utilizing fiber optic technology in Palm Beach County, Florida. Since 1984, Mr. Miller has been the managing law partner of Donald W. Miller P.A. with his primary area of legal practice representing domestic and international investors and resort developers in all areas of resort legal and strategic planning including timeshares, fractional ownership, destination/vacation/residence clubs and condo hotels.

He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of CIX (USA) Holdings Corporation, an international joint venture with Legal & General Ventures, Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Legal & General Insurance, Ltd. based in London, UK. Mr. Miller received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Michigan State University's T. M. Cooley School of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami. He is a member of The American Bar Association, Real Estate and International Law Section Member, International Bar Association, The Florida Bar, the State Bar of New Jersey, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, Urban Land Institute, BOMA International and was chosen for the first class of Leadership Palm Beach County. Mr. Miller serves on the boards of various for profit and not-for profit companies and foundations.
